The Anticipation Has Reached its Pinnacle: the 2019 Subaru Ascent is Soon to Appear

It's no sizable, up-to-153.5-cubic-foot rumor anymore. The long-awaited new three-row, seven-to-eight-passenger SUV is set for production, soon after to arrive at Subaru dealerships. What's more, the new 2019 Ascent promises to be packed bumper to bumper with features, from the performance to get up and go to top-tier safety tech and amenities for the trip.

First, a new Subaru Global Platform characterizes it from base Ascent and Ascent Premium through the luxurious Ascent Limited and Touring, with plenty of sturdy high-strength steel for durability. But Subaru constructed this frame to dovetail its performance elements, too, to wit, a sprightly turbocharged 260-horsepower SUBARU BOXER engine. This, in tandem with 277 pound-feet of torque and the standard inclusion of Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, should make 2019 Subaru Ascent a capable hauler across diverse terrain. Ditto for the wheel slip reduction capability of standard X-MODE® with Hill Descent Control as well as the SUV's quite tall build, at 8.7 inches of ground clearance.

Off-roading families will stand to benefit from the duo of standard raised roof rails and up-to-5,000-pound towing capacity, and a Class III trailer hitch, as well as a host of optional Thule racking accessories, are available to customize your luggage-hauling needs. The new Ascent is also set to include Subaru EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology standard throughout its lineup. That means safe distancing, collision avoidance, intelligent course-correction and more will all become easier than ever. Plus, Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are an option for situational awareness, flanking a trifecta of added help in the SUV's available Smart Rear-View Mirror, standard Rear-Vision Camera, and available 180-degree front camera. You'll even be able to peer around corners while turning thanks to available LED Steering Responsive Headlights.

New in the SUBARU STARLINK Safety and Security services suite for the model year, too, are a smartphone-controlled Remote Engine Start with Climate Control feature as well as a Plus Concierge service to provide navigation, social activity, and auto service appointment scheduling assistance. It all comes together in a capacious cabin complete with a large cargo area, offering both under-floor storage for your last few essentials and an available power rear liftgate for luggage access at your venue. Factor in SUBARU STARLINK Multimedia infotainment, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, available Wi-Fi connectivity, and a gigantic 54-inch power tilt/sliding panoramic moonroof, and entertainment, connectivity, and most of all comfort become the orders of the day.

We at Sellers Subaru, for one, can't wait to see this new SUV on our showroom floor. In the meantime, your Subaru experience remains our top priority. Take the scenic drive to see us here at our Subaru dealer in Macomb and take a ride in the all-new Subaru Crosstrek, the new 2018 Forester, or our flagship Subaru Outback.
